Technical Lead (Next.js/AWS)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of modern full-stack web applications. You will provide technical leadership, mentor a team of engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering excellence, technical innovation, and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture, system design, and technology decisions across the full application stack.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using modern technologies.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and development guidelines to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to improve code quality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and coach software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Drive the end-to-end delivery of software features, from solution design and implementation to deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure.
• Support containerised application development and deployment using Docker and modern DevOps practices.
• Champion the responsible adoption of AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering productivity and software delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience, including experience leading engineering teams or serving as a Technical Lead.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-stack web development using Next.js, with deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, software architecture, system design, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices and tools, including Git, Docker, CI/CD, code reviews, and Agile development methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codeium), cloud platforms, DevOps practices, or open-source contributions will be an added advantage.
