Technical Lead

At RUSH, we are an integrated design and technology studio. We are united by our love of technology and its potential for making lives better. We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer who is a hands-on technical expert, a mentor to others, and a deep-diver into thorny technical challenges.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of the platform at the core of RUSH’s computer vision technology. You’ll design, build, and evolve scalable edge and cloud systems that power AI-driven insights for real-world environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and development of architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, security and cost-management.
• Drive technical decisions that further business objectives and goals.
• Work with partners and customers to develop technical solutions for hard problems.
• Support the engineering team to work with good flow, handling escalations as required, and ensuring the team is working well.
• Stay hands-on, contributing code, improving performance, architecting solutions and refining our technical approach as we grow.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience as a senior or lead engineer working on complex, distributed or edge systems.
• Knowledge of modern cloud platforms such as GCP, containers, and effective CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of computer vision or machine learning, APIs, data-processing, and integrations.
• Experience with Python and C++ or similar languages used for edge and cloud.
• Proactive and clear communication, with the ability of explaining the consequences of technical decisions or trade-offs.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset to continually improve on the status quo, while comfortable making trade-offs between long-term architectures and delivery realities.
