Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture design and technology roadmap of a large-scale financial platform supporting high-volume transactions and critical public services. This role will be responsible for defining scalable, secure and resilient solutions that align with business objectives, regulatory requirements and long-term digital transformation initiatives.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams and technology partners to deliver enterprise-grade architecture whilst driving innovation, operational excellence and technology modernisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures covering applications, integrations, data, infrastructure and security for large-scale transactional platforms.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into architecture roadmaps, capability models and implementation plans.
• Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks and best practices to ensure solution quality, scalability and compliance.
• Drive adoption of modern technologies including microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs, container platforms and cloud solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews and guidance to delivery teams whilst managing technical debt and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience with at least 4 years in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or equivalent architecture-focused roles.
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale, high-availability systems within financial services, insurance, pension or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, API integration, Kubernetes/OpenShift, messaging platforms, cloud technologies and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
