Technical Manager

Department: Technical (Audio, Visual & Lighting)
Reports to: Technical Director

About the Role

AUX Media Group is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead the planning and delivery of AVL solutions for live events, exhibitions, conferences and virtual productions.

As a key bridge between our Technical Department and other business units, you will translate client and project requirements into practical technical solutions, ensuring every production is executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for assigned projects from planning through execution.
• Partner with project managers to develop technical solutions that meet client requirements and project budgets.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment and technical resources.
• Lead and supervise technical crews during setup, show operations and teardown.
• Conduct site surveys, technical briefings and risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth event operations.
• Oversee the maintenance and readiness of AVL equipment.
• Mentor and develop technical team members while promoting safe work practices.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the live events, broadcast or AVL industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of professional audio, video and lighting systems.
• Excellent project coordination, leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
