Technical manager
Job Summary
Prepare and manage mechanical and electrical (M&E) work schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, inspect works, and supervise installation and commissioning of M&E systems to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage M&E work schedules aligned with the project master programme to ensure timely progress
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical and site issues promptly
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works before concreting and subsequent construction activities to ensure quality and compliance
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (ACMV, plumbing, fire protection) and electrical systems (LV/HV, transformers, switchboards, CCTV) to meet project specifications
- Ensure all works comply with relevant standards, codes, and safety requirements to maintain site safety and regulatory adherence
- Work independently and coordinate effectively with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Electrical/Mechanical engineering projects within Singapore’s building and construction industry
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Hands-on experience in M&E systems and site coordination demonstrating strong technical knowledge
- Good understanding of M&E details, construction drawings, and local construction practices
- Driving ability is an advantage
