Technical Officer
- Conduct site surveys and condition assessments; produce technical reports with recommendations and risk/issue logs.
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, schedules of work, and cost estimates (e.g., minor works, adaptations, maintenance, product applications).
- Check contractor proposals, method statements, and RAMS for compliance with standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Inspect works at key stages; verify quality, progress, and adherence to technical specifications; issue defect/snags lists and close‑out actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams (surveyors, designers, OTs, sales/commercial) and external stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, building control, fire authorities).
- Manage small to medium work packages from brief to handover: programming, procurement support, site coordination, and documentation.
- Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and codes (e.g., building regulations, CDM, fire safety, HHSRS where applicable).
- Keep accurate records in project/asset IT systems; produce progress, compliance, and completion reports.
- Provide technical advice to colleagues and clients, including product/system selection, NBS specifications, and BIM/asset data updates.
- Support continuous improvement: standard details, specifications, lessons learned, and technical guidance notes.
