Technical Presales Engineer - Data Center, UPS & Telecom
Summary
A technical presales role at battery manufacturer Leoch: the engineer sizes and configures lithium battery solutions for data centers, AI infrastructure, UPS backup and telecom power, working with customers, UPS makers and integrators to deliver proposals and resolve integration issues.
Join our global technical solutions team to develop lithium battery solutions for mission-critical power applications, including Data Centers, AI infrastructure, UPS backup systems and Telecom Power.
You will work directly with international customers, UPS manufacturers, system integrators and R&D teams to translate technical requirements into practical battery solutions.
This role offers hands-on exposure to global projects, advanced battery technologies and system integration, with opportunities to develop toward a Senior Solution Engineer or Solution Architect position.
Key responsibilities- Solution Engineering: Develop battery sizing calculations, product selection and system configurations for UPS, Data Center and Telecom applications; as well as the future market trends
- Customer Engagement: Work with international customers, UPS partners and system integrators to understand technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- System Integration: Evaluate battery integration with UPS, rectifiers, BMS, communication interfaces and monitoring systems.
- Technical Proposals: Prepare solution proposals, technical specifications, compliance matrices and engineering presentations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and Product teams to address technical gaps, validate design solutions and resolve integration challenges.
- Technical Risk Management: Identify potential design and application risks, recommend mitigation actions and follow issues through to the deal of the oppurturnities
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related discipline.
- Preferably 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience in UPS, Data Center power, Telecom Power, lithium batteries or DC power systems.
- Good understanding of electrical fundamentals, power conversion, DC distribution or battery systems.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, understand customer requirements and communicate engineering solutions clearly.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Good English communication skills. Chinese proficiency is an advantage for collaboration with China-based R&D and engineering teams.
