About the Role
Norva is looking for a hands-on Technical Product Lead to take over and improve an existing smart-building platform covering Android/iOS applications, backend systems, BLE-based access control and IoT hardware integration.
This is not a conventional product-management role. The successful candidate must be technically strong enough to understand an inherited software platform, work directly with developers and hardware engineers, and drive the system towards stable commercial deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the existing Android/iOS applications, backend, APIs, databases and cloud environment.
Review what has already been built and determine what should be retained, improved or rebuilt.
Stabilise and improve the current software platform.
Work directly with hardware and firmware developers to define and complete BLE/IoT interfaces.
Troubleshoot issues across mobile applications, backend services, cloud infrastructure and connected devices.
Define technical requirements, testing plans and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate external developers, vendors and hardware partners.
Maintain proper technical documentation, source control and deployment discipline.
Support testing, pilot deployment and subsequent product improvements.
What We Are Looking For
5–8 years of relevant experience in software development, technical product ownership or systems integration.
Hands-on experience with Android and/or iOS applications.
Good understanding of backend systems, APIs, databases and cloud services.
Practical experience with IoT or hardware-software integration.
Experience with BLE, ESP32, embedded devices or similar technologies would be highly relevant.
Able to take over and improve an existing codebase rather than only manage vendors.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable working on-site in Singapore.
Able to communicate technical and product matters in both English and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Experience in smart buildings, access control, property/facilities management or related systems would be advantageous.
