Technical Product Manager who will drive Salmon's shift from vendor SaaS processing to a licensed, in-house acquiring platform in Manila, starting with ATM acquiring and moving toward POS and e-commerce. Day to day: owning end-to-end delivery, designing ISO 8583/API integrations, and managing external vendors across engineering, security, compliance, and payment schemes.

📍 Manila, Philippines | Relocation required

Salmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.

In three years, we've grown to 7M+ app downloads, 2M+ monthly active users, 7,000+ partner stores, and US$310M+ raised from top-tier investors.

Here, you get real ownership from day one, high standards, and direct communication. You'll work alongside a team that combines deep local knowledge and experience scaling regulated financial companies from scratch.

If you want to solve complex problems at scale and directly impact how millions of people access and manage money, come build with us.

Southeast Asia's fintech moment starts here.

About the role:

You'll drive Salmon's move from a vendor-controlled SaaS processing model to a licensed, Salmon-owned processing platform — owning delivery from vendor selection through certification and production, starting with ATM acquiring.

What you'll do:

  • Join the Acquiring Platform team to stand up licensed processing services, starting with Phase 1 ATM acquiring and extending toward POS and e-commerce acquiring.

  • Work across the full integration landscape — processing platform, ATM middleware, HSM/RKL, Visa and BancNet acquiring, anti-fraud, core banking, and internal card systems on AWS/EKS.

  • Sit at the center of acquiring engineering, infrastructure, security and compliance, payment schemes, and the external processing vendor — turning contractual commitments into executable delivery.

What you'll own:

  • Own delivery of the licensed acquiring processing platform end-to-end, from scope definition to production readiness

  • Translate business, scheme, compliance, and operational requirements into clear technical requirements, Jira tasks, and documentation

  • Drive API and ISO 8583 integration design — message flows, error handling, reversals, reconciliation, and monitoring

  • Manage external provider delivery: scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, acceptance criteria, UAT, certification, and release planning

  • Coordinate developers, QA, infrastructure, security, compliance, and operations from business request through production release, including incident analysis and post-release stabilization

  • Maintain the implementation roadmap, critical-path tracking, and decision and risk logs for stakeholders

What makes you a strong fit:

  • 4+ years as a Technical Product Manager, System Analyst, Solution Analyst, or Product Owner in fintech, banking, or payment processing

  • Strong understanding of acquiring, payment processing, the issuer/acquirer/scheme model, and the transaction lifecycle — including ISO 8583, authorization flows, reversals, reconciliation, clearing, settlement, and certification processes

  • Hands-on experience with complex system integrations — processors, switches, payment networks, HSMs, or ATM/POS/e-commerce acquiring — designing APIs, integration contracts, and technical documentation from scratch, with a good understanding of microservices, cloud deployment, and release/change management

  • Ability to manage external providers and convert contractual commitments into executable delivery plans

  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills for transaction investigation and validation

  • English B2 or higher

What we offer:

Ownership and flexibility

  • Stock option plan — four-year vesting with a 25% cliff after the first year

  • Hybrid-first work environment

  • Company-provided tools and equipment

  • Office in Bonifacio Global City, Manila — a modern, walkable district at the centre of the Philippines' growing tech scene

Health and time off

  • Medical insurance support for you and your family through co-funding or reimbursement, depending on your location and subject to policy limits

  • Access to an internal mental health support specialist

  • 22 vacation days, Philippine public holidays, and 15 sick days

  • 105 days of paid maternity leave and up to 14 days of paid paternity leave for employees relocating to Manila

Relocation and family support

  • Relocation support for you and your family — including flights, two weeks of accommodation, visas, paperwork, and logistics

  • Reimbursement of eligible pet relocation expenses

  • USD 2,500 per year for flights home

  • Baby and family stipends for employees relocating to Manila: USD 1,000 per month for each child under two and USD 500 per month for each child aged two to 18

Growth and team experience

  • Opportunities to learn and share your expertise through internal expert meetups, external conferences, speaking opportunities, and industry publications

  • Company-sponsored trips to Manila to meet and work with your team in person

  • Regular team offsites, sports activities, and team events

  • High-performing teams can earn a dedicated beach house week in Southeast Asia

We believe strong teams are built by people with different backgrounds, experiences, and points of view. Salmon is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential.
