TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER
Summary
BAPI (Building Automation Products) is hiring a Technical Product Manager to lead cross-functional product development projects for its building sensing solutions — creating execution plans, coordinating departments, suppliers and customers, supporting design-for-manufacturing and testing, and providing technical expertise to sales and customers.

Leading projects will require interacting with all departments, at all levels within BAPI and will often require interacting with suppliers and customers. Even though this position does not have direct reports, it does require directing and leading team members from other departments.

Technical Product Manager Principle Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Market Alignment
- Define product requirements and roadmaps for HVAC sensing and monitoring solutions.
- Gather and analyze customer, market, and industry feedback to identify opportunities for new products and product enhancements.
- Support business cases and product plans that align with BAPI's strategic objectives.
Product Development Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams through BAPI's Product Development Process from concept through launch.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Quality to deliver innovative sensor and hardware solutions.
- Ensure products meet performance, cost, manufacturability, and quality objectives.
Technical Expertise & Customer Support
- Serve as a technical resource for HVAC sensing technologies and building automation applications.
- Assist customers and sales teams with product selection, technical issues, and application support.
- Develop technical documentation, product specifications, and application guidance.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Monitor product performance through customer feedback, field data, and RMA trends.
- Drive continuous improvements, component lifecycle decisions, and product enhancements.
- Support product sustaining activities, obsolescence management, and end-of-life planning..
