Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Technical Product Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to Sr Director, Mechanical Engineering, the Technical Product Manager, is responsible for enable integrated hardware and software design & engineering business opportunities that develop market-leading products, customizes and integrates these solutions to meet specific customer needs, and thereby enables and accelerates customers’ product development initiatives.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Work effectively with leadership, Director of Product Management, design and engineering team, supply chain, and Flex customers and channel partners to identify requirements for a strong product offering and to execute the go-to-market strategy.
  • Lead internal and customer focus groups to discuss functional capabilities and usability, and clarify design requirements and issues.
  • Define clear market requirements for new or enhanced product offerings (market opportunity, usability, and customers) and gain leadership concurrence.
  • Product lifecycle management (PLM) on at least one major product offering of.
  • Identify competitive differentiation for products. Develop and maintain market knowledge on competitive technology products, industries, and trends in consumer, industrial, digital health, automotive, and smart cities markets. Perform quantitative and qualitative market research and competitive analysis that delivers actionable insights to influence key product and marketing decisions. Research, identify, and advise new opportunities in markets across different product lines, industries and the Innovation & New Ventures organization.
  • Work with Segment CTO’s and Segment team members and collect insights/feedback from Flex business units and potential customers to develop product positioning and messaging. Drive and support internal communications to segments and external communications to customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of product offerings and competitive advantages.
  • Be a key spokesperson to advocate core product capabilities and potential opportunities. Effectively participate in promotion activities internally and with customers to represent various industry products, solutions, and value propositions.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team (required):

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • A background in manufacturing.
  • Experience in personnel management
  • Knowledge of metalworking processes is mandatory.
  • Advanced English
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Experience creating Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Experience using SAP
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably MESTRO, is a plus.
  • Experience in product management or related product experience.
