Technical Product Manager
Summary
Owns product development lifecycle for guest-facing platforms and enterprise systems (HR, Finance, Data) in hospitality, bridging business strategy, tech, and operations while managing vendor integrations and API projects.
The Technical Product Manager will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders and external technology vendors, leading integration projects and ensuring our technology estate is continuously assessed, evolved, and optimised to meet the needs of a fast-growing hospitality brand.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor & Integration Management
- Liaise with multiple technology vendors across integration projects, serving as the primary point of contact for scoping, delivery, and ongoing relationship management.
- Lead and manage API connectivity projects, able to inspect API payloads, debug failed webhook calls, read and interpret vendor API docs independently.
- Evaluate and onboard new technology partners, conducting due diligence and technical assessments to ensure alignment with business needs and architecture standards.
- Ensure data governance, access control, and compliance requirements are addressed when evaluating or integrating enterprise systems handling sensitive corporate data (e.g. HR, Finance).
- Translate complex business requirements into clear product briefs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and design teams, collaborating across Operations, Revenue Management, Finance, HR, and IT.
- Own and maintain the product roadmap, prioritising initiatives based on guest and stakeholder impact, commercial value, and operational efficiency.
- Assess existing technology platforms and identify gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement, making data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Define and track product KPIs, using data and insight to inform decisions and demonstrate product value.
- Able to independently ship a functional prototype or internal tool using AI-assisted coding tools, without engineering support.
- Lead products from discovery and ideation through to design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch optimisation.
- Rapidly validate ideas using low-fidelity tools and pragmatic experiments before committing to full engineering builds - prioritising learning speed over polish.
- Champion the end-user experience in all product decisions - whether guests, hotel operations teams, or corporate functions (HR, Finance, Data) - ensuring technology enhances both front-of-house and back-of-house workflows.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of product management experience within a high-growth technology environment.
- Proven track record of leading product squads and managing end-to-end product delivery, from problem definition to live product.
- Comfortable reading/writing basic code (e.g., Python, JS, or SQL) to prototype, debug integrations, or query data directly.
- Prior experience managing external vendor relationships and technology integration projects.
- Experience with API-driven integrations is a strong plus; familiarity with REST APIs, Postman, or similar tools preferred.
- Experience building or managing data warehouses and enterprise software solutions is preferred; exposure to AI automation workflows is a plus.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to make data-informed decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Resourceful self-starter who finds creative paths forward with limited time or resources - comfortable with ambiguity and energised by constraints.
- Hands-on with AI-assisted tools to improve personal output and accelerate delivery.
- Excellent communication skills - able to influence across technical, commercial, and operational audiences without relying on authority.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of how product decisions impact revenue, cost, and guest satisfaction.
