This role refines high-level DoW Chief Information Officer (CIO) success criteria into phased technical roadmaps (from Proof of Concept to Minimum Viable Product) and translates government requirements and strategic objectives into clear, actionable engineering specifications. The ideal candidate operates at the intersection of mission, user needs, and technical delivery — serving as the authoritative voice of the product within the program team.
• Translate DoW vision, contract requirements, and stakeholder inputs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define and maintain the product roadmap; prioritize the backlog in alignment with program milestones, government priorities, and engineering capacity.
• Establish and communicate milestone success criteria; lead sprint reviews, demos, and government acceptance activities.
• Partner with engineering, compliance, and forward-deployed teams to resolve requirement ambiguities and unblock delivery
• Serve as the day-to-day product authority with DISA and government stakeholders; facilitate requirements clarification sessions and change management.
• Produce and maintain key product artifacts: PRDs, feature specs, traceability matrices, and stakeholder briefing materials.
• Monitor product performance against contract KPIs; proactively identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
REQUIRED:
• Active TS/SCI clearance (no exceptions).
• Recent (within 3 years), direct experience working with DISA or DoW.
• 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in DoD or IC program environments.
• Proven ability to translate government requirements and operational needs into actionable technical specifications.
• Excellent written communication skills; experience producing government-facing product documentation.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments within DoD acquisition frameworks.
NICE TO HAVE:
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or similar certification.
• Background in cybersecurity, network monitoring, or data analytics products.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent government-approved PM/collaboration tools.
