Technical Product Owner
Summary
Owns the technical roadmap for enterprise software, prioritizing backlogs and guiding Agile teams to deliver complex applications.
Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, or Senior Business Analyst within complex software environments.
- Experience working closely with Software Engineering teams delivering enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, Scrum, and modern software development practices.
- Experience managing and prioritising complex product backlogs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business objectives into clear technical requirements.
- Experience writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborative approach with the confidence to influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Desirable experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
- Desirable experience with enterprise software platforms, API-driven products, and systems integration.
- Desirable experience with large-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Own and continuously optimise the product backlog for a high-performing Agile engineering team.
- Translate strategic product objectives into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
- Prioritise work based on customer value, business objectives, technical dependencies, and delivery capacity.
- Partner closely with Software Engineers, Architects, UX, Delivery Managers, and senior stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and collaborative product workshops.
- Balance delivery of new features alongside technical debt, platform improvements, BAU, and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure engineering teams have clear priorities and a continual pipeline of delivery-ready work.
- Manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Use customer feedback, data, and insight to drive informed product decisions.
- Champion Agile best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across Product and Engineering.
