Technical Product Owner (Gamified Shopping)
Summary
Own the product lifecycle for a gamified shopping platform blending iGaming mechanics, Web3 integrations, and mystery-box unboxing, translating business goals into technical requirements and guiding engineering sprints.
The Mission
We are looking for a Technical Product Owner who natively understands the mechanics of Web3 gamification, and loot-based reward ecosystems. We aren't looking for a corporate backlog manager who needs to be taught how unboxing, provably fair systems, or digital-to-physical redemption loops work. You need to hit the ground running on day one.
Your mission is to take full ownership of our product lifecycle—building a Gamified Shopping Platform for Mystery Packs and Physical Goods. You will translate high-level business concepts into razor-sharp technical requirements, partner with engineering to build scalable Web3 and backend architectures, and design dopamine-rich product loops that keep users engaged.
If you live at the intersection of online gaming culture, crypto-native mechanics, and high-velocity product execution, this is your canvas.
Key Responsibilities
- Gamified Mechanics & Feature Architecture: Design, map, and prioritize core platform features—including mystery box unboxings, battle modes, reward multipliers, affiliate hooks, and physical fulfillment flows.
- 0-to-1 Technical Backlog Ownership: Build and maintain the product backlog from scratch. Write detailed user stories, technical acceptance criteria, and API requirements for engineering teams in Linear/Jira.
- Provably Fair & Web3 Integration: Partner with developers to ensure fair-play algorithms, crypto-wallet connections, smart contract interactions, and real-time Web3/on-chain events run seamlessly.
- UX/UI & Product Design Collaboration: Guide product designers to build intuitive, high-energy interfaces that balance casino-style visual flair with effortless e-commerce usability.
- Cross-Functional Sprint Execution: Act as the central hub between Engineering, Design, and Leadership. Keep sprint cycles moving fast, remove technical blockers, and ensure features launch on schedule.
Requirements
- Industry & Ecosystem Familiarity: Strong conceptual understanding of iGaming, skin economies, case-opening platforms, or gamified loot-box mechanics. (Previous product experience in this space is a plus, not a dealbreaker).
- Deep Familiarity with Unboxing & Odds Dynamics: You intuitively understand how case battles, item rarity tiers, house edges, provably fair systems, and reward mechanics operate under the hood.
- Web3 & Crypto Literacy: Hands-on experience building products with crypto payment gateways, wallet connections (MetaMask, Phantom, etc.), and Web3 user flows.
- High Technical Competency: Deep understanding of web/mobile architecture, APIs, database events, and technical trade-offs. You can hold your own in technical architectural discussions with senior engineers.
- Physical & Digital Redemption Flow Awareness: Understanding of how digital wins translate into physical shipping, vault inventory, or e-commerce marketplace fulfillment.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Keen Eye for Product Design: Strong visual taste and ability to review Figma wireframes for conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user feedback loops.
- Startup / Scrappy Background: Experience working in fast-moving, low-process startup environments where speed and adaptability win.
