Technical Product & Project Manager – Smart Building Systems

About the role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Technical Product and Project Manager to define, structure, and deliver technology projects involving building access systems, mobile applications, backend platforms, hardware devices, and third-party integrations. This candidate will take over, refine and extend an existing BLE-based access control and smart property platform. This candidate must be able to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders and independently drive projects forward.
Key responsibilities
Prepare product requirement documents, project briefs, workflows, implementation plans, and tender or vendor briefing materials
Take ownership of the existing mobile apps, backend, source code and technical documentation
Review what is usable, incomplete or needs improvement, and stabilise the current platform
Refine and update the Android and iOS applications, APIs, databases and backend services
Define testing plans and user acceptance criteria before delivery
About you
At least 5 years of experience in technical product management or systems integration
5 to 8 years of experience in mobile application and backend software development
Proven experience taking projects from unclear or early-stage requirements through definition and delivery
Strong understanding of mobile applications, backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud services, testing, software deployment, RF, BLE, UWB and data protocols
Experience in ESP32, device communication protocols or remote device management
Experience in property, hotel, commercial-building, or facilities-management systems
Experience managing projects involving both remote software development and on-site installation
Experience with China procurement, vendor selection, contracts, or statement-of-work preparation
A degree in computer science, electronic, electrical, engineering, information systems, product management, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential
Fluency in Mandarin is preferred as need to liaise with Chinese speaking counterparty in China . Working proficiency in English is required
