Technical Project Manager – Client-Facing (Part-Time, Remote)
Summary
Client-facing technical project manager for UPRELAY, a Turkish software services company, leading remote pre-sales discovery calls and coordinating mobile/web app projects between clients, technical teams and the founder. Requires advanced English and solid understanding of APIs, databases, cloud hosting and basic security.
Salary: Rp 6.666.667 – Rp 10.000.000 per month
About the role
Turkish company (in Jakarta) is looking for a technically knowledgeable, client-facing project manager to lead pre-sales discovery conversations and coordinate software projects between clients, technical teams and the founder.
Our work includes mobile and web applications, digital platforms, UX/UI design, secure software development and cybersecurity services.
Your role is to understand what clients need, ask the right questions, turn discussions into clear requirements and keep agreed work moving. The priority is client discovery, proposal coordination and project management—not cold calling or finding new customers.
This is a fully remote, part-time position with no office attendance requirement. We are looking for a long-term working relationship.
What you will do
Lead client discovery meetings in English. Understand business goals, users, existing systems, required features, integrations, priorities, budget expectations and target timelines before a proposal is prepared.
Translate conversations into clear project scope. Document requirements, assumptions, exclusions, open questions and acceptance criteria. Work with the technical team to assess feasibility, obtain estimates and coordinate proposal preparation.
Coordinate project delivery. Track tasks, responsibilities, milestones, dependencies and deliverables. Identify delays and risks early, follow up on commitments and coordinate client feedback and change requests.
Keep clients, the technical team and the founder aligned. Prepare meeting agendas, capture decisions and next steps, maintain project records and provide concise progress updates.
You will coordinate decisions, not make unsupported promises. Final pricing, technical solutions and delivery commitments require approval from the founder and the relevant technical lead.
What we are looking for
Relevant project experience
You have practical experience managing software projects or combining technical business analysis with project coordination. You understand the software development lifecycle, task planning, testing, client acceptance and scope-change management.
Technical understanding
You can discuss mobile and web applications, frontend/backend responsibilities, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud hosting and basic security requirements. You can ask developers meaningful questions and explain technical information clearly to non-technical clients. Hands-on coding is not required, but technical understanding is essential.
Advanced English — mandatory
You must be able to independently lead live client meetings, ask follow-up questions, explain requirements and handle questions confidently in English. Strong written English is also required for meeting notes, scope documents and client communication. Written English alone is not sufficient.
Turkish or Russian — preferred, not mandatory
The ability to communicate in either Turkish or Russian is an advantage for coordination with the founder and relevant stakeholders. Candidates without these languages are welcome to apply if they meet the English and technical requirements.
Reliable execution
You are organised, proactive and comfortable following up with different stakeholders. You can use project-management tools and shared documents to keep responsibilities, deadlines and decisions visible.
Remote setup and meeting requirements
You must have your own reliable laptop or desktop computer, a headset with a microphone, and a working webcam. A built-in webcam is acceptable.
A stable internet connection and a quiet, private workspace are required. Client meetings and interviews will take place through Google Meet with your camera on. You must be comfortable presenting yourself professionally and sharing your screen when needed.
You must also handle client information confidentially and follow company security requirements when using your own equipment.
Working arrangement
This is a part-time role. Weekly hours, meeting availability and compensation will be agreed before starting, based on experience and the required workload.
You must be available for scheduled live meetings within agreed time windows, including coordination across international time zones. Meeting schedules will be agreed in advance; continuous or around-the-clock availability is not expected.
How to apply
Apply through JobStreet with your CV in English and a short introduction covering your relevant software-project experience, your role in client meetings, and one or two non-confidential project examples.
Please include your weekly availability, time zone, preferred meeting hours and expected compensation for those hours. Mention any Turkish or Russian language ability.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a live English-language interview on Google Meet and a short mock discovery meeting using a fictional project brief.
