Our department delivers both build services, including projects and new capabilities, and run services, including operational support, for DHL’s main website www.dhl.com. To support our roadmap, strengthen delivery capacity, and meet growing business demand, we are expanding our project management team.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Leading projects across infrastructure and software development areas.
- You will work closely with program manager, product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to define project scope, select the most suitable delivery approach, and ensure successful delivery from initiation through implementation.
- A key part of your role will be support for translating business needs into clear project plans, coordinating technical teams, managing risks and dependencies, and communicating progress in a clear and structured way.

- Proven experience in project management, ideally in IT, infrastructure, software development, or digital platform delivery.
- Ability to understand technical topics and confidently lead discussions with architects, engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches, with the ability to choose the right method for each project.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to bridge business expectations and technical delivery, ensuring clarity, alignment, and realistic planning.
- Confidence in managing scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and project reporting.
- Advanced spoken and written English.

Hi, my name is Jiri, and I lead the DHL.COM subdomain team. I started my career at DHL IT Services in 2004 as a Senior Application Support Specialist in the Express web applications support team. In 2006, I moved into management and led this support team for 14 years.
What I have always valued about working at DHL is that it has never been boring: there are always new challenges, opportunities for personal growth, and inspiring colleagues from many different cultures. In 2018, I moved from operations into the development area for the DHL.COM platform and Express Sales. In 2023, our organization made an important shift towards a true DevOps approach, fully integrating development and operations. Today, our five teams provide end-to-end delivery from idea to implementation.
