Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Technical Project Manager (Day 1 + Day 2) to take end-to-end responsibility for project planning, implementation, cloud migration delivery (Day 1), and ongoing managed services/BAU operations management (Day 2).
In this dual-lifecycle role, you will lead cross-functional engineering and maintenance teams, manage client relationships from pre-sales through service handover, oversee daily operations, and serve as the formally designated primary authority for contract administration, System delivery, and operation start-up.
Mandatory Designation & Contractual Authority
Contractor Representative: The Project Manager shall be formally designated by the Contractor as primarily responsible for directing and coordinating the supply, delivery, and installation of the System, as well as all work and services which are to be executed or provided by the Contractor under the Contract and all other matters including contract administration, monitoring of progress, installation and testing of equipment, technical personnel training, logistic support, documentation preparation, and operation start-up (the “Project Manager”).
Scope of Authority & Binding Representation: The Project Manager shall be deemed to be the Contractor's agent in all dealings with the Authority, and all actions of the Project Manager shall be binding on the Contractor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Day 1: Project Management, Service Delivery & System Implementation
Delivery & Governance: Act as the primary focal point for project planning, execution, tracking, and rollout of network security systems (Firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Authentication, IDS/IPS, PKI, Anti-Virus, Load Balancing, DLP, SIEM, Wireless Networking, Web Filtering) and cloud migration architectures (e.g., Azure to Nutanix Enterprise Cloud/AHV).
System Deployment: Direct and coordinate the supply, delivery, installation, integration, and testing of hardware, software, and target virtual network/microsegmentation policies.
Documentation & Scope Control: Author and manage critical deliverables including Statements of Work (SOW), Technical Design Documents (TDD), Project Completion Documents (PCD), Technical Bulletins, and operational runbooks.
Pre-Sales Support: Partner with sales and solution teams to provide pre-sales engineering guidance directly to clients, at conferences, and during educational/marketing events.
2. Day 2: BAU Operations, Support & Maintenance Management
Maintenance Team Oversight: Manage the daily work assignments, scheduling, task tracking, and priority management of the internal Maintenance and Support engineering team.
BAU Operations: Oversee day-to-day operational support, including health checks, system monitoring, incident investigation, access issues, user onboarding, configuration updates, and service request fulfillment.
Production Resolution & Troubleshooting: Direct technical teams during project troubleshooting, major production outages, cutover anomalies, and root cause analysis (RCA) tracking.
SLA & Performance Governance: Monitor incidents and queries to ensure resolution within agreed SLAs. Prepare and present weekly/monthly status dashboards, SLA performance reports, and incident metrics to internal leadership and external client stakeholders.
3. Transition, Change Management & Continuous Improvement
Operational Readiness: Review transition plans, enhancement milestones, and operational readiness with clients and support groups to ensure smooth handoff from Day 1 rollout to Day 2 support.
Change Governance: Review and approve service requests, enhancement effort estimates, maintenance schedules, and risk mitigation plans for planned upgrades and technology refreshes.
Service Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize service quality, user experience, automation, SOPs, and reporting. Collaborate with Account Managers to support service expansion opportunities.
4. Stakeholder, Partner & Team Leadership
Single Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries, support escalations, service issues, and operational updates. Escalate critical issues or out-of-scope requests to the Program Manager or Service Delivery Director as needed.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate operational dependencies across cloud, network, identity, security, end-user computing, and service desk teams.
Team Guidance: Support resource forecasting, mentor junior engineers on service discipline and client communication, and foster an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience: 7–10 years of experience in IT service delivery, managed services, cloud infrastructure, network security implementations, or modern workplace operations.
Contractual Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience acting as a designated lead/contractor project manager responsible for contract administration, system installation, testing, and operational handover.
Technical Breadth: Good architectural understanding of core security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, SIEM, PKI), cloud environments(Microsoft Azure), and hyperconverged infrastructure (Nutanix).
Service Management Mastery: Deep understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, SLA management) and experience delivering executive dashboards and service reports.
Certifications: PMP®, PRINCE2, ITIL Foundation/Intermediate, or equivalent project management certifications are strongly recommended.
