Technical Project Manager

Discussion

Summary

The Technical Project Manager will lead cross‑functional programs across Product, Engineering, and Design, owning timelines, handoffs, dashboards and automation to keep R&D delivery on track, using tools like Linear/Jira and AI‑enhanced processes.

Guardio is one of the fastest-growing companies in consumer cybersecurity - we’ve doubled revenue four years running, passed $150 million in ARR, and now protect over a million people, at a moment when AI has made scams more convincing than ever.

AI has democratized cybercrime: scams that once required sophisticated hacking teams are now cheap, personalized, and everywhere.

Traditional security wasn’t built for this - so we’re building it, protection that sees the person, connects all the dots - and stop attacks and scams wherever vector they come from.

And honestly, we all feel here - it’s just the beginning!

So, what's the job?

Guardio's R&D ships fast, and at 100+ people our biggest bets now run across several teams at once, spanning Product, Engineering, and Design.

We're looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead those programs end to end. You'll make sure the work moves cleanly between Product, Engineering, and Design, lands when we said it would, and lands at the quality bar we hold ourselves to. You'll report to the VP R&D and work as part of the R&D leadership team.

This is a building role, not a reporting one. You'll own the process, dashboards, and rhythms that keep R&D moving, not just the status of them.

You will:

  • Own strategic programs end to end. Timeline, dependencies, risk, and quality for our biggest initiatives across Product, Engineering, and Design, from kickoff to release.
  • Make the cross-team processes actually happen. Own the handoffs between teams and disciplines so work keeps moving and nothing falls into the gaps between them.
  • Run the fast track. Intake, triage, ownership, verification, and stakeholder updates, with clear SLAs and no dropped threads.
  • Find where delivery actually stalls. Dig into our Linear, Git, and “plain human” data to surface recurring blockers, slow handoffs, and carryover patterns, then fix the process behind them.
  • Build the delivery picture. Turn static status updates into live views of cycle time, throughput, and risk that leadership can read at a glance.
  • Cut the manual chase. Automate the status gathering and the weekly reporting so the job stays about judgment calls, not bookkeeping.
  • Keep process proportionate. Run the planning and reviews that earn their place, and retire the ones that don't.

Sounds great! Am I the right fit?

We're not checking boxes. We're looking for a specific kind of person.

You're probably a great fit if:

  • You've run delivery across multiple teams. 5+ years as a Technical Project or Program Manager, Delivery or Release Manager, or a Scrum Master who grew into broader ownership, working across engineering, product, and design.
  • You know the SDLC from the inside. You're comfortable across engineering, QA, DevOps, Design and data, and technical enough to follow the discussion and catch a risk early.
  • You're hands-on with Linear or Jira. You model workflows, build dashboards people actually open, and use what's in them to drive decisions.
  • You work with the data yourself. You pull it and read it rather than waiting on someone to build the report.
  • You've added structure without adding drag. You've brought process into a fast-moving org, and you know which rituals to retire.
  • You can’t imagine doing your work without AI. You’ve worked with AI as a means to automate and outsource previously impossible tasks - not just a chat interface.
  • You're a clear communicator in English. Equally at home with an engineer deep in a bug and an exec who needs the one-line version.

Talk nerdy to me.

Don't mind if we do. What you'll be working with:

  • Workflow: Linear (idea to production)
  • Client: React + React Native (TypeScript), Kotlin, Swift, Typescript
  • Backend: Python + Go
  • Cloud: Google Cloud on Kubernetes (GKE)
  • Data: MySQL, Redis, BigQuery, Clickhouse
  • Tooling: Claude Code with an in-house plugin marketplace of skills, MCP servers, and CLIs

Thinking of a great addition? Let's do it.
