A Technical Project Manager in London who plans and drives end-to-end delivery of technical projects—platform enhancements, third-party integrations, game launches, and regulatory compliance updates—breaking requirements into timelines and milestones while keeping engineering, product, and business stakeholders aligned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Manager and Dev Lead to plan and execute projects.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects including platform enhancements, third-party integrations, game launches, and regulatory compliance updates.
- Break down complex requirements into executable project plans with timelines, milestones, and clear ownership.
- Ensure alignment between engineering, product, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilise project management practices to track progress, identify delivery risks, and proactively resolve blockers.
- Facilitate sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and release coordination.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for troubleshooting complex issues related to platforms, APIs, infrastructure and backoffice systems.
- Evaluate technical solution from Dev Team and ensure it is aligned with architectural standards and business goals.
- Work hands-on with engineers to analyze root causes, validate technical assumptions, and support debugging efforts when needed.
- Mentor and coach team members on technical practices, communication, and problem-solving approaches.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the development team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in technical lead or managing position, particularly in cloud and web applications.
- Strong hands-on knowledge and experience in developing scalable Java applications with Java 17+, Sprint boot 3+ and/or REACT programming.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven analytical problem-solving skills and mentorship skills.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams, including DevOps, infrastructure engineers, and software developers.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Nice to have.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience managing global or multi-regional projects.
- Experience of introducing AI into project and product team will be a plus.
