ABOUT THE COMPANY
VentureOne is building a new venture focused on next-generation robotics, developing intelligent service robots designed to operate safely and efficiently in human environments. The mission of this venture is to improve productivity, safety, and efficiency across high-impact industries by deploying versatile robotic systems.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Technical Project Manager owns the delivery of robotics deployments, from first site assessment to stable handover to operations. The role sits between clients, engineering, and field teams, turning client use cases into scoped, scheduled, and accepted deployments across multiple robot types and sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery and Planning
- Own end-to-end delivery of robotics deployment projects across product lines such as service, delivery, inspection, security, and humanoid robots, from feasibility through go-live and handover to operations, against agreed scope, timeline, and budget
- Build and maintain integrated project plans covering milestones, dependencies, critical path, owners, and target dates across multiple concurrent projects
- Control scope changes through a defined change process, assessing impact on timeline, cost, and resources before approval
- Report project status, RAG, risks, and key decisions to management and clients on a consistent cadence
Technical Scoping and Integration
- Lead technical feasibility and site assessments with engineering, covering the operating environment, navigation and mapping, connectivity, power and charging, safety zones, and required infrastructure or system integrations
- Translate client use cases and operational requirements into clear technical scope, work packages, success metrics, and acceptance criteria agreed with engineering, product, and the client
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across hardware, software, autonomy, and integration teams, keeping site-specific configuration, integration, and software release dependencies on track
- Manage integrations with client systems and infrastructure such as building management systems, access control, doors and elevators, networks, and third-party platforms
Vendors, Procurement and Compliance
- Manage vendors, contractors, and technology partners for site works and integrations, covering scope definition, quotation review, execution tracking, and quality sign-off
- Work with procurement and supply chain to secure robots, charging infrastructure, sensors, spares, and deployment materials ahead of key milestones
- Ensure safety and risk assessments, permits, approvals, access permissions, and client and internal sign-offs are completed and closed on time
Testing, Go-Live and Handover
- Plan and run pilots, testing, commissioning, and site acceptance testing (SAT), defining success criteria and driving punch lists through to closure
- Run go-live readiness reviews and structured handover to operations, with complete documentation, configuration records, operating procedures, and known-issue logs
Risk and Continuous Improvement
- Identify, quantify, and escalate technical, safety, and schedule risks early, with mitigation plans and clear owners
- Capture field learnings such as performance issues, integration failures, and product gaps, and feed them into engineering priorities and the product roadmap
- Standardize deployment playbooks, templates, readiness gates, and lessons-learned processes so delivery scales across robot types, sites, and clients
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in technical project management or engineering project delivery, including at least 1 years delivering robotics, automation, or other hardware and software systems in real-world environments
- Proven delivery of projects where hardware, software, and client or site infrastructure must work together, ideally in public or occupied spaces
- Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and change requests across multiple concurrent projects
- Experience working alongside hardware and software engineering teams, including release cycles, testing, and issue triage
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and technology partners, including technical scope definition and execution quality
- Hands-on experience running pilots, testing, commissioning, and acceptance with clients
- Experience across more than one robot type, such as mobile robots, quadrupeds, manipulators, humanoids, or drones, is a strong advantage
Technical Knowledge
- Solid technical grounding in robotic systems to engage engineers credibly on sensors and perception, navigation and localization, autonomy software, connectivity (Wi-Fi, LTE/5G), power and charging, and systems integration
- Understanding of robot safety, risk assessment, and the requirements of operating robots in spaces shared with people
Skills and Ways of Working
- Strong stakeholder management across clients, facilities teams, partners, and internal engineering, product, and operations teams
- Proficient with project management tools (Jira, ClickUp, MS Project, or similar), Excel or Google Sheets, and presentation tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Comfortable in fast-moving, early-stage product environments, driving stakeholders to close actions on time, with regular time on site
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Preferred
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
- experience delivering alongside software teams
- Master's degree in robotics, autonomous systems, or a related field
