Technical Sales Representative, India

Manage a diverse portfolio of buying customers, ensuring consistent in-person engagement and growth.

Grow future sales by setting up sales budget, sales forecast and building the opportunity pipeline.

Identify and pursue new brands and clients through varied sources (website, UL Prospector, and others).

Prepare timely opportunity pipeline, call reports, sample requests and regular follow-up with clients.

Develop key account plans and strengthen customer contacts at all levels in purchasing, R&D and marketing departments.

Conduct existing and new customer prospecting to identify and secure new business opportunities with decision makers and influencers.

Build and maintain strong relationships with R&D, Procurement, and decision-makers at customer organizations.

Develop and execute territory plans that balance short-term wins with long-term growth.

Drive consultative, value-based sales conversations.

Provide technical presentations to customer R&D and Product Development teams.

Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Marketing, Sustainability, Supply Chain) to deliver solutions.

Provide technical support on formulations, applications, and regulatory compliance.

Maintain accurate CRM records to enter customer call reports, opportunities and requests as well as to review sales growth & order patterns.

Represent Inolex at industry events, tradeshows, and technical seminars.

Support special projects and additional business needs as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to prospect effectively and convert leads into opportunities.
- Organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Analytical thinking to interpret data and identify growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
- Comfortable giving presentations to small and large audiences.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science field.
- Minimum 2 years’ sales experience and at least 5 years in the personal care industry.
- Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies.
- Solid understanding of personal care ingredients, formulation, and market dynamics.
- Prior formulation experience or ability to troubleshoot is a strong plus.
- Active in relevant industry associations.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work remotely and travel to customers and on-site company meetings.
- This role will be subject to approximately 40-50% travel.
