Technical Service Engineer
NewJob Purpose
The position holder is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical equipment at customer sites while ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
The incumbent have to maintain technical service records, updating relevant systems, and generating service reports to ensure data accuracy and process compliance.
The role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and customers to support after-sales service activities and develop technical competencies in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Onsite Installation & Service Delivery:
- Perform preparation, and installation activities in equipment installation, commissioning, and testing at customer sites.
- Learn and carry out basic functional checks prior to equipment handover.
- Providing basic technical service operational guidance to customers when assigned.
- Completing service and installation documentation accurately and one time (installation checklist and reports).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper operational procedures during all service activities.
2. Equipment Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Customer Support
- Troubleshooting and repairing of equipment issue under the guidance of the lead Service Engineer.
- Handling of customer complaints by gathering information and reporting to driect reported.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to work instructions and checklists.
- Prepare service tools, test equipment, and materials before and after service activities.
- Record basic service data including fault description, parts used, and equipment status.
3. Sales Support & Administrative Reporting
- Support the preparation of equipment and accessories for customer demonstrations, testing, or evaluations.
- Provide basic technical information based on approved technical documentation.
- Assist in preparing technical documents, reports, and standard proposal materials.
- Collect and report technical feedback from customers to senior engineers or management.
- Report daily/weekly activities to the line manager
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's or Engineering Degree, especially in Medical Equipment, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic
- Specialized training or certifications in medical equipment servicing.
- Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards.
Working Experience
- Communication and presentation skills
- At least 1 year of experience in biomedical engineering, technical service, or related areas.
- Experience with medical devices or hospital equipment.
- Experience in a multinational organization.
- Customer service experience
