MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical support before and after sales to Sales Dept., collaborating closely with the Product Managers and R&D Department.
- Provides technical trainings to Sales Dept., Product Managers, customers, applicators and technicians.
- Is responsible and ensures a continuous technical update and improvement by editing and integrating the technical documentation and packaging, providing it to Marketing department.
- Collaborates with the R&D department to improve the formulation of already existing products and to develop new ones to promptly satisfy market needs.
- Joins meetings with the construction regulation authorities and institutional organizations in order to be updated on specific laws and regulations related to the construction market.
- Manages, supervises and develops the Technical Services team under his/her responsibility and is involved in recruitment and performance management processes in collaboration with the local HR department and with the Corporate or Regional Technical Services department.
- Participates to trade fairs and technical seminars and workshops.
- Cooperates with the Corporate Quality Management Department to manage claims in alignment with the internal, local and Corporate procedures. Collaborates with Sales department to solve customers’ technical complaints, ensuring an effective and timely resolution.
- Is responsible to respect health and safety, environmental and quality requirements during the realization of his/her activities and to ensure that these regulations are respected within the department he/she is in charge of.
- Ensures periodic reporting and promptly informs the Headquarters in case of any change and update. Works in close cooperation with the Corporate or Regional Technical Services Department which provides guidelines, operative and specialist instructions.
- Follows Corporate and local policies and procedures, while performing the activities.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in technical services within the construction chemicals or building materials industry.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, product applications, relevant standards, and regulations.
- Proven experience in providing pre-sales and after-sales technical support.
- Experience in delivering technical training to sales teams, customers, applicators, and technicians.
- Experience collaborating with R&D on product improvement and new product development.
- Strong experience in handling technical complaints, customer claims, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and evaluate a technical services team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
