Technical Services Project Coordinator

The Client
Our client is an established technology business delivering hardware, mobility, wireless networking and technical services to customers across Australia and the wider APAC region.
Their Professional Services team supports customers from pre-sales through project delivery and post-sale support, and they are now looking for a Technical Services Project Coordinator to join their North Sydney office.
This is a key role within a small, busy technical team where you will become the person helping keep customers, engineers, hardware, installers and projects moving in the same direction.
The Role
You don't need to be an engineer!
You do need to be exceptionally organised, proactive and comfortable juggling a lot of moving parts at once.
You will coordinate several ongoing customer projects, working between customers, engineers, installers, suppliers and internal teams.
Projects can range from configuring and deploying mobile devices through to wireless networking installations across customer sites.
On any given day, you could be:
Checking whether hardware has arrived
Coordinating engineers to configure equipment
Updating customers on progress
Arranging equipment to be shipped to site
Coordinating external installers
Tracking timelines and outstanding actions
Managing stock and spare equipment
Updating project records and service contracts
Making sure everyone knows what needs to happen next
You won't be expected to configure the technology yourself, but over time you will learn enough technical terminology to confidently communicate between customers and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate multiple customer projects running simultaneously
Act as a key point of contact between customers and technical teams
Schedule engineering resources, installations and onsite activities
Track project milestones, actions, timelines and outstanding tasks
Coordinate hardware staging, deliveries and deployments
Liaise with suppliers, logistics teams and installation partners
Maintain stock and spare equipment records
Track service contracts, renewals and customer requirements
Keep project and customer information accurately documented
Escalate delays, resource conflicts or delivery issues
Provide general administrative support across the Professional Services team
What We Are Looking For
We are open to different backgrounds.
You may already be a Project Coordinator, or you could come from customer service, administration, logistics, operations or service coordination and be looking to move into technology.
What matters most is that you can demonstrate:
2–3 years' experience in coordination, administration, customer service or a similar role
Strong organisational skills
Confidence managing multiple priorities at the same time
Excellent customer communication
Strong attention to detail
A proactive approach — you follow things up rather than waiting to be asked
Confidence dealing with different stakeholders
Good Microsoft Office skills
Genuine interest in learning about technology
Experience within IT, telecommunications, technology services, logistics, warehousing or supply chain would be advantageous.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, project management systems or inventory management would be highly rewarded.
Why This Role?
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to build a genuine career in Project Management or Technical Services.
The business is willing to invest in the right person, including training across technologies such as Zebra, Honeywell, HP and Cisco, as well as Project Management training such as PRINCE2 where appropriate.
The Perks:
Competitive salary
Company laptop, Mobile phone
Free parking available
Technical and Project Management training for your professional development
Exposure to customer technology projects from beginning to end
Career pathways into Project Management, Operations or Account Management
