Technical Solutions Architect - Glasgow

Salary: £117,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need a seasoned Technical Solutions Architect.
• You must be based in Scotland due to the nature of the assignment.
• You must be able to achieve and maintain NPPV3 and Security Clearance (SC).
• Experience working on large-scale projects or long-term programmes is required.

Responsibilities:

• We undertake upgrades and decommissioning of unsupported applications across the IT estate.
• We manage patching and obsolescence frameworks.
• We build in automation by implementing new tools.
• We provide consultation on all non-functional, architecture, and design decisions.
• We ensure enterprise architecture is developed consistently and aligned across projects and programmes.
• We lead solution architecture activities.
• We collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers.
• We translate business requirements into technical options.
• We act as Technical Design Authority and provide architectural governance and oversight.
• We ensure solutions meet business needs and transition smoothly into production.
• We evaluate new technologies and provide architectural recommendations.
• We provide technical leadership and quality assurance.

We are offering a brand new, long-term contract opportunity for a seasoned Technical Solutions Architect on a large-scale public sector project. This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in Scotland. The day rate is £500 via umbrella, with an initial 6-month contract and the anticipated length of the programme up to 3 years.
