Technical Solutions Architect
Summary
Designs and documents enterprise IT solutions for Police Scotland, aligning with TOGAF or Zachman frameworks to support new services and full life-cycle development.
Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements:- Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent job experience.
- Experience creating end-to-end solution designs for new services or solutions.
- Full life cycle experience, including development of a complete set of architectural views for an enterprise in accordance with a common architecture framework such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- A proactive approach to problem solving, with ownership and determination to follow issues through.
- An open attitude toward sharing ideas and knowledge.
- A positive approach to mentoring, coaching others, and sharing information with the team.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Applicants must be a British citizen, an EU or EEA member, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national free of restrictions.
- Design and improve new and existing IT solutions that align with our strategy.
- Create and deliver innovative, cost-efficient, and optimum ICT solutions to meet business needs across the full project lifecycle.
- Support the transition of solutions into BAU support.
- Deliver solutions on challenging projects spanning more than one application and/or technology.
- Work with teams across Digital, especially Project Management, to understand business requirements and technical project interdependencies.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs that adhere to our Enterprise Architecture.
