Technical Specialist (Water Resources)

Technical Specialist (Water Resources) will be responsible for riverine/urban flood modeling, sedimentation transport modelling, using widely accepted models like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, SWMM, TUFLOW etc. He/She will be guiding water resources team in developing urban flood, riverine flood, flash flood, and flood forecasting models, including their calibration and validation. He/She will also be preparing high-quality technical proposals, reports and presentations. He/She has to interact with Clients very closely, conduct meetings with Clients and present proposals, progress, outputs of the projects before them.

Requirements

Requirement:

o Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering/ Hydrology or in related fields

o 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience in Flood Modeling (preferably using HEC suite of modules)

o Fundamental knowledge of hydrological/hydraulic modeling and its application including in flood inundation modelling and sediment transport modelling

o Proactive and professional in dealing complex water resources problems

o Good written and verbal communication skills

o Basic knowledge of Python, R programming languages, ArcGIS and QGIS is preferable
