Key Accountabilities:

Ÿ Oversee the technical management of assigned tanker vessels, ensuring safeand reliable operations in line with company SMS, class, flag, statutory andindustry requirements.

Ÿ Monitor vessel condition, planned maintenance, defects, performance andoperational reports; follow up with shipboard teams to close technical mattersin a timely manner.

Ÿ Provide day-to-day technical support to Masters, Chief Engineers andvessel teams, including troubleshooting, repairs and coordination with OEMs /third-party service providers.

Ÿ Plan, control and review vessel OPEX / CAPEX, spares, stores, lubricantsand consumables to support safe operations while maintaining budget discipline.

Ÿ Work closely with commercial / operations teams to support voyage andcharter requirements, reduce off-hire exposure and maintain vesselavailability.

Ÿ Track class, statutory, trading certificates, surveys, audits andinspection requirements; ensure vessels are prepared for PSC, vetting, classand internal / external audits.

Ÿ Plan and manage dry-docking / repair projects, including work scopepreparation, budgeting, vendor coordination, progress tracking and variancereporting.

Ÿ Conduct vessel visits and inspections when required to assess vesselcondition, engage ship staff and drive follow-up actions.

Ÿ Coach and guide senior shipboard personnel to strengthen technicalstandards, ship-shore communication and operational discipline.

Ÿ Prepare regular updates for Fleet Management on vessel condition, budgetstatus, outstanding technical issues and action plans.

Requirements:

Education and Qualifications:

Ÿ M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or equivalent;  Class 1 Marine Engineer CoC / Chief Engineerbackground preferred.

Work Experience:

Ÿ At least 2 years of shore-based technical management experience withtankers.

Ÿ Minimum 8 years of sea-going experience, preferably on tanker vessels.

Ÿ Good analytical, problem-solving, project management and budget controlskills.

Ÿ Confident communicator who can work effectively with vessel teams,internal & external stakeholders.

Ÿ Comfortable with vessel visits and travel when required.

Ÿ Knowledge of quality, environmental, and safety standards and relatedlegislation.

Ÿ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ÿ Experience in customer management and understanding of regional maritimemarket conditions.

Ÿ Good people management skills.
