TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the vessel(s) are maintained under Class and as per the owner's standards as per the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
- Ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Prepare and maintain vessel(s) budgeted Daily Operating Costs.
- Prepare work scope, coordinate, and oversee vessel dry-docking activities and inspections.
- Monitor and ensure that the vessel's machinery and equipment are always in good working condition.
- Carry out maintenance activities in a cost-efficient manner without compromising quality or safety.
- Maintain and upgrade towing, diving, and bunkering equipment to operational standards.
- Ensure that the monthly reporting documentation is provided in a timely manner.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Professional qualification such as Motor Class 1 or 2 (Marine Engineer).
- Minimum sea time of 12 months as a Chief Engineer or 36 months as a Second Engineer.
- Solid project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering operational and technical projects.
- Shore-based operational and general management experience within the shipping industry will be viewed favourably.
- Profit & Loss or budgetary management experience, demonstrating strong commercial acumen, will be looked at favorably.
- Strong interpersonal skills and people-oriented management approach, with proven experience in leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams.
- Thorough understanding and application of safety compliance standards and practices.
- Substantial experience in liaising with regulatory bodies and key industry stakeholders will be viewed favourably.
