About the opportunity

We are partnering with an established organisation operating within the logistics and warehousing sector to recruit an experienced IT Support Technician for their Blacktown operation. Around 80% of the role will be spent within the warehouse, supporting the technology and equipment that keeps day-to-day operations moving.This would suit someone who enjoys getting away from the desk, troubleshooting issues directly with users and taking ownership of problems through to resolution.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Providing L1/L2 support across hardware and software issues;
  • Troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, scanners and peripheral devices;
  • Setting up, configuring and maintaining computers and other technology;
  • Supporting users face-to-face across the warehouse environment;
  • Preparing and configuring scanners and equipment for use across different locations;
  • Coordinating hardware being sent between interstate operations;
  • Troubleshooting technology issues directly on the warehouse floor; and
  • Working closely with users to resolve issues quickly and minimise operational disruption.
What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with
  • Previous experience providing L1/L2 IT support;
  • Strong hands-on hardware troubleshooting skills;
  • Experience supporting scanners, printers, computers and peripheral devices;
  • Ideally, experience within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or another operational environment;
  • A willingness to work predominantly within a warehouse rather than a traditional corporate office;
  • Strong communication skills and confidence supporting users face-to-face; and
  • Availability to commence at relatively short notice.
What’s on offer

This is an initial day-rate contract with the opportunity to move into a permanent position. The role is based onsite five days per week in Blacktown, with onsite parking available.
