Technical support coordinator
About the Role
As a Technical Support Coordinator, you will be an important link between our customers, service technicians, engineering, sales, spare parts, supply chain and finance teams.
You will coordinate technical and after-sales support activities and help ensure that customer requests and technical issues are handled efficiently, professionally and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
This is a varied role combining technical support, customer service, service coordination and spare parts, with the opportunity to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our after-sales business.
What You Will Do
- Provide first-line technical and administrative support to customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate service and spare parts requests from the initial customer enquiry through to order fulfilment and invoicing.
- Prepare quotations and customer sales orders for spare parts and service activities.
- Coordinate and follow up on technical issues in cooperation with Service, Engineering, Sales, Operations and Finance.
- Support field service technicians and coordinate external service providers when required.
- Manage service contracts, customer records and related documentation.
- Support spare parts pricing, stock administration and forecasting of high-turnover parts.
- Work with Engineering and Supply Chain to optimise spare parts availability, supplier selection and procurement processes.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, manuals and service information.
- Maintain accurate data in CRM, ERP and other company systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase service and spare parts revenue.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives across after-sales processes.
- Help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive and professional support.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in technical support, customer service, service coordination, spare parts or a similar role.
- Technical education or a strong technical background, ideally in mechanical engineering, machinery or industrial equipment.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to understand technical issues and communicate them clearly to customers and internal teams.
- A structured approach, attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across different departments.
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems is an advantage.
- Good command of German and English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
- Willingness to continuously develop your technical knowledge and understanding of our products and services.
