Technical Support Engineer
Salary: £30,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements:- Good understanding of IP networking, switches, firewalls, routers, and VPNs.
- IT support or helpdesk experience.
- Experience with patching, system upgrades, and remote access support.
- Strong communication skills and a self-driven approach.
- Experience with FAT testing.
- Familiarity with SQL or database technologies.
- Experience integrating platforms and systems.
- Active certifications in relevant security, IT, or networking areas.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, small-team environment.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to own transport.
- Ensure all prebuilt and preconfigured solutions, systems, and hardware are configured and set up in line with manufacturer, IT, and cyber best practices.
- Provide responsive, hands-on support for our field-based engineers, systems, and customers.
- Provide commissioning support for our professional services team.
- Maintain documentation for processes, systems, assets, and credentials.
- Help transition legacy systems to new solutions.
- Preconfigure and prebuild security and IT systems before they ship to customer sites, including networks, servers, workstations, and a variety of IoT devices.
- Carry out FAT testing of systems and solutions in our Manchester facility.
- Work with customers to extract requirements and data from existing systems, design migration methodology, and migrate information into new systems in the required formats.
- Provide remote technical support via service desk, telephone, and out-of-hours support for field-based engineering teams.
- Support platform, system, and security upgrades on customer, hosted, and maintained systems.
