Technical Support Engineer (Night Hours) - Data Platform

Summary

This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise data platform batch jobs and pipelines during the night shift (10pm–7am). The engineer will use SQL and cloud data technologies like Snowflake or Databricks to resolve issues independently and maintain system SLAs.

One of Ireland's fastest-growing Data & AI consultancies - Deloitte Fast 50 Top 15 two years running, and a Snowflake Elite Partner. Alongside client work, building products in the data and AI space, and scaling fast.

Looking for a Technical Support Engineer to own the overnight shift on our managed services team - keeping clients' enterprise data platforms running while the rest of the business sleeps.

This isn't a helpdesk role. You'll be the person watching the batch jobs, catching the alerts, and fixing what breaks - independently, against real SLAs. If a job falls over at 3am, you're the one who diagnoses it and gets it back on track.

What you'll bring:

  • Real, hands-on experience supporting data warehouse batch jobs, pipelines, or scheduled data processes (Snowflake, Databricks, ADF, Informatica or similar)
  • The confidence to troubleshoot and resolve issues solo, overnight, without a full team beside you
  • Strong SQL and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving

What's in it for you:

  • A genuine, structured path from Support into Data Engineering as you grow
  • Hands-on exposure to modern cloud data platforms and enterprise-scale environments
  • A fast-paced, flat, collaborative culture - work across multiple clients and industries, not stuck on one account

Night shift: 10pm–7am.

If you've got genuine data platform support experience and want to build a career in Data Engineering, we'd love to hear from you.
