• Meetings: Communicate with stage managers and event organizers to understand program flow, music, sound effects, and microphone usage requirements.
• Setting up and connecting the venue's sound system; setting up wireless microphone channels; organizing music, background music, and sound effect files. Operating the mixer to adjust the volume, quality, and equalization of vocals, instruments, and accompaniment; adjusting the monitor speakers for stage performers.
• Real-time Mixing: Adjusting the volume balance of vocals and music; handling unexpected faults such as noise, feedback, and signal interruptions. Managing wireless microphones: Replacing batteries, switching microphones on and off, and monitoring performer usage.
• After the event, shutting down the sound equipment in sequence. Disassembling and organizing cables, microphones, and equipment; cleaning and storing equipment by category.
• Recording Performance Reports: Recording the time, equipment used, damage, and fault status (if necessary).
• Routine Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining all sound equipment; troubleshooting simple faults. Storing cables, accessories, and spare batteries; inventorying equipment quantities.
• To play the role of duty supervisor in the absence of Engineer and Assistant Engineer.
• To perform such other duties as may be required.
