TEREX WASHING SYSTEMS
Leveraging the heritage, design innovations and manufacturing efficiencies previously offered by our Powerscreen® and Terex Mobile Processing Equipment (Terex® Finlay) lines, Terex Washing Systems is now the single source provider of washing equipment for our Materials Processing Segment. TWS is committed to providing outstanding customer support and expertise in the field to meet customers’ individual needs through our global dealer network as well as our dedicated team of engineers, applications, sales, marketing and aftersales technicians.
Reporting to the Service Manager and working closely with the TWS Sales and Engineering teams, the Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing a first-class service to our dealers and customers in North America including onsite technical assistance, sales, applications, commissioning, and training on our products.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a dedicated team delivering first class service to dealers and customers
- Provide technical support to the North American TWS Dealer Network
- Assisting the sales team with technical sales including application validation in conjunction with the TWS Applications team
- Researching and responding to customer enquiries on parts & warranty
- Assist dealers and customers with installation and commissioning of TWS products
- Provide detailed application and technical training to dealers and customers
- Cooperate with product group engineers and quality team to ensure products are manufactured and delivered to the highest quality standards
- To investigate and resolve customer problems in a timely manner
- Travelling throughout North America to locations of dealers and customers
- Carrying out maintenance and servicing on Terex Washing Systems machinery where necessary
- Carry out test and analysis of material samples and prepare report of results
- Investigate new applications for existing products
Basic Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of service experience on industrial heavy equipment.
- Good computer experience required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Must pass MVR
- Must be able to obtain a US passport
- Travel Required – 50-75%
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Solid mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems and the ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, both in-person and over the phone.
- Ability to make decisions with purpose and a strong sense of urgency to resolve equipment failures promptly.
- Must interact well with others in a diverse environment and be a team player.
- Training experience and hands-on demonstrations.
- Industry experience within the Washing and / or Screening sector is desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-discipline team
- Ability to handle and complete multiple projects under tight deadlines
The position is ideally based in Louisville, KY; however, candidates may reside anywhere within the United States, provided they live within 30 miles of a major airport to support required travel
