Technical Support & Systems Specialist

📍 Melbourne | 🕐 Full time | Monday to Friday
Working at our office, from home and on location.

We’re Social Booth, Australia’s most memorable photobooth experience.

But we’re not just here to snap pics. We’re hospitality-first, service-obsessed, and proudly powered by a small, passionate crew. We build permanent install photobooths in pubs and clubs that are beautifully designed and based on reliable tech.

Behind every booth is a Windows computer with a camera, a printer, card payments and a 4G connection. We have over 150 of them in venues across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and every one has to work every night.

Your Role
You’ll be the person who keeps the fleet running and makes it better. When something breaks, you’ll work out why, fix it, and make sure the fix reaches every booth in the country. You’ll start in tech support and grow into owning how updates and changes get rolled out fleet-wide.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and fix booth issues remotely: printers, cameras, payments and connectivity

  • Write and improve scripts (PowerShell, Python) that fix problems automatically

  • Test changes on one booth, then a few, then roll them out across the whole fleet safely

  • Set up, configure and quality-check booth computers before they go out to venues

  • Learn and help improve our booth monitoring software and backend systems

  • Keep fault logs, rollout notes and documentation up to date so anyone can follow them

  • Work with the tech team in each state when an issue needs hands on site

  • Visit Melbourne venues when needed to resolve technical or hardware issues

  • Use AI tools daily to work faster and smarter.

  • Assist in rolling out AI to our team.

Your Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Occasional evening support when a fleet rollout or a venue install needs it.
The whole tech team meets online once a week.

We’d Love to Hear From You If You…

  • Have strong Windows troubleshooting skills

  • Have written scripts or code in any language (PowerShell, Python, or similar). Self-taught counts.

  • Like getting to the bottom of a problem instead of just restarting it

  • Test before you deploy, and stay calm when something goes wrong

  • Are confident with AI

  • Can explain technical things clearly to non-technical people, especially over email and chat

  • Are Melbourne-based and happy to get out to venues when needed

  • Love a mix of solo work and collaborative team energy

Bonus points if you…

  • Have looked after lots of devices at once: kiosks, point of sale, digital signage, school or office computers

  • Know your way around networking basics (routers, 4G, remote access)

  • Have used Git or version control

  • Have worked in hospitality or events

You don’t need to tick every box. We care more about where you’re heading than where you are today. If you’ve ever written a script to save yourself an hour of clicking, we want to hear from you.
