technical underwriting assistant -- 6 months contract (convertible)

About the Role

We are partnering with an established international insurance company seeking a Technical Underwriting Assistant to support its Property & Engineering underwriting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to the Property & Engineering underwriting team.

• Maintain accurate underwriting records, documentation and system data.

• Process technical premium bookings, endorsements and underwriting transactions accurately and promptly.

• Assist underwriters with claims history checks, premium payment verification and underwriting follow-ups.

• Prepare business reports and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth underwriting operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting administration, technical support or a similar role.

• Good understanding of reinsurance operations.

• Minimum GCE O-Level and/or relevant insurance qualifications.

• Detail-oriented, organised and able to work collaboratively across teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
