Technical Writer（banking）

Key Responsibilities

* Guideline Development: Author and manage high-quality user guides, quick-reference manuals, and FAQs for corporate online banking and mobile app platforms.

* Complex Workflow Mapping: Clearly articulate complex financial operations such as cross-border wire transfers, automated clearing house (ACH) setups, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and user access management (entitlements).

* Cross-Functional Sourcing: Collaborate directly with Product Managers, Digital Banking Engineers, Information Security (InfoSec) teams, and Legal/Compliance to verify technical accuracy and regulatory alignment.

* UX Copywriting Alignment: Work alongside UX designers to ensure online help menus, error messages, and tooltips match the tone and instructions in the official manuals. Develop content for public website landing pages, app feature introductions and promotional banners.

* Visual Documentation: Capture, edit, and annotate high-fidelity system screenshots and workflows to provide a visually clear layout for corporate users. Prepare content for interactive user guides and demos, working with design and web teams on production.

* Version Control: Maintain documentation logs to track revision histories as new web and mobile app features roll out.

* Operational and Training Materials: Prepare internal procedure and operation manuals and staff training materials, working with Operations, Call Centre and branch teams to ensure the content reflects agreed support processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

* Experience: 3+ years of technical writing experience, specifically within banking, financial services, or FinTech. Experience writing for corporate/commercial banking clients is highly preferred.

* Domain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of banking security standards, digital compliance, and corporate financial workflows.

* Technical & Platform Skills:

Proficient with modern content tools (e.g., Confluence, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or Markdown), Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Experience with interactive guide or demo authoring tools is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of mobile app deployment lifecycles (iOS and Android ecosystems).

* Soft Skills: Exceptional clarity in written English and Chinese(Traditional & Simplified), a methodical approach to formatting, and the ability to work under tight project deadlines within a highly regulated environment.
