Technical Writer
Summary
Write and maintain identity and access management documentation in a Docs-as-Code workflow, collaborating with engineers and product teams to explain complex authorization concepts using AsciiDoc, GitHub, and AI tools.
You will create and maintain administrator documentation in a Docs-as-Code environment; collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product teams; research identity and access management products and standards; explain authorization concepts clearly; use AsciiDoc, IntelliJ, and GitHub; and anticipate documentation needs throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product teams to create and maintain administrator documentation
- Collaborate with globally distributed stakeholders
- Deliver clear and user-friendly IAM administrator documentation
- Research products and supporting standards
- Translate authorization concepts into documentation
- Use AsciiDoc, IntelliJ IDE, and GitHub in a Docs-as-Code environment
- Follow the software development lifecycle to anticipate documentation needs
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of technical writing experience
- Experience documenting complex software
- Experience with IAM applications or security products
- Experience creating Markdown content
- Experience managing multiple tickets while meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Experience with AI tools such as Gemini, Glean, and Claude Code
- Ability to learn evolving features and complex software
- Prior software development experience or exposure
- Experience using GitHub and repositories
- Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar platforms
- Understanding of technical administrator needs and workflows
