The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution leading the development of CM in Hong Kong. Controlled by the Health Bureau and operated under a public-private partnership model, CMHHK was financed by the HKSAR Government, which selected Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor through tendering procedures in 2021. HKBU incorporated the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the hospital.

Since commencing phased services in December 2025, CMHHK offers comprehensive CM care ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promotes advanced and specialised CM treatments. As a pioneer in integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM), CMHHK addresses diverse patient needs through inpatient, day-patient, outpatient and community-based services. With 65% of services government-subsidised and the remainder market-oriented, the hospital ensures accessible healthcare while meeting the diverse needs of the community.

Technician (AV Support) (26145)

Responsibilities：

• Install, configure, and monitor IT and AV hardware and software to ensure smooth daily operations;

• Deliver IT/AV support for teaching activities, end‑users, and help desk services;

• Manage IT/AV asset inventories, assist with equipment procurement, and maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation;

• Troubleshoot and resolve IT/AV technical issues in a timely and effective manner;

• Provide IT/AV setup and operational support for Hospital events and activities;

• Assist with ad‑hoc tasks and assignments as required; and

• Offer occasional remote or telephone support during urgent or emergency situations.

Requirements:

• Possess a Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia Technology, Audio Visual Technology or a related discipline;

• At least 2 years of solid experience in an AV support role;

• Hands-on experience supporting Windows and Mac computers;

• Experience in supporting Audio Visual equipment, such as interactive displays, projectors, microphones, audio systems, video conferencing equipment and related peripherals;

• Solid foundational knowledge of networking, including diagnosing and troubleshooting wired (LAN) and wireless (Wi-Fi) connectivity issues;

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom and other online meeting platforms for video conferencing and virtual event support;

• Familiarity with live streaming and broadcasting platforms, including setup, operation, and technical support for online events and live productions;

• Familiarity with graphic design tools (such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop) and video editing software is considered a strong plus;

• Required to work non-standard hours occasionally, including Saturdays and event days on public holidays;

• Strong troubleshooting skills in computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices;

• Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work independently to resolve problems;

• Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment;

• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; and

• Pleasant, positive, customer‑oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.

Work location: The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong in Tseung Kwan O.
