Technician
Summary
Industrial cleaning technicians needed in Port Lavaca, TX to operate hydroblasting equipment (10k and 20k pumps), vacuum trucks, and pressure washers for tank and vessel cleaning. Candidates must hold current Formosa training certification and adhere to EPA and OSHA safety standards when handling hazardous materials.
Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
- Must have Formosa Training
- Technicians must learn & Operate Automated & Manual Hydro Blast tooling safely and efficiently.
- Operators must be able to operate 10k, 20k pumps & Hydro Blast tooling safely and efficiently as needed.
- Supervisors must understand the job of the Operator & Technician. Be able to communicate with customers & Site Managers. Be able to run multiple crews when required.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Show proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck and Tank cleaning equipment.
- Candidates must have current Formosa training and be available to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in handling pressure washers, vacuum trucks, scrubbers, and chemical dosing system
- Knowledge of cleaning agents, proper dilution, and safe disposal procedures
- Familiarity with EPA and OSHA standards for industrial hygiene and contamination control
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and assist with minor repairs
- Understanding of hazardous and non-hazardous waste segregation and disposal methods
- Trained in safe entry and cleaning procedures for tanks, vessels, and enclosed areas
