JOB SUMMARY:
Directs large, complex research projects in a clinical or research setting.
JOB DUTIES:
10% - Support outreach and extension workshops hosted by the Pulse Quality & Nutritional Breeding Program by assisting with laboratory demonstrations and engaging with local high school students in educational activities aligned with Clemson University's land-grant mission.

50% - Receive and process field-derived samples in support of research activities. Perform wet chemistry extraction procedures in accordance with established laboratory protocols. Operate laboratory instrumentation to analyze samples and generate data. Maintain laboratory equipment through routine cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance. Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards.

25% - Accurately record and maintain organized laboratory records of experimental results. Report nutritional data derived from laboratory instrumentation in a clear and structured format. Compile and prepare data summaries for review by the Principal Investigator. Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present data sets. Interact professionally with research personnel to clarify data reporting needs and ensure timely communication of results. Follow established data management and backup procedures to ensure data integrity and retention compliance.

15% - Support field work as needs by Field manger

Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a related field similar to the assigned area of research and advanced journey-level work experience in a clinical or research setting.

Expected Salary Range
50000 - 60000Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
