AECOM is seeking an experienced Bridges /Structures Design Technician to be based in Dubai, UAE. The Design Technician will be responsible to coordinate with the Structural Design Engineer and produce the Structural Design models and drawings in different platforms such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit or any other drafting software.

Job Duties

· Prepare CAD / Microstation / Revit Bridges drawings and models and assists with some general CAD office duties.

· Able to work independently on smaller projects of any project type.

· Work as part of a team on larger projects, meeting deadlines and issue dates.

· May provide guidance to junior CAD Technicians.

· Able to work using BIM process and 3D modeling.

Qualification

  • Meet the minimum years of experience.
  • Preferably have obtained a basic technical qualification (Diploma or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modelling in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks for Coordination
  • Knowledge of BIM Coordination tasks
  • Knowledge of working in ProjectWise and BIM360

Specific Skills Required

  • Must have minimum of 5+ years of hands on experience in Bridges. UAE/ME projects experience would be preferred.
  • Must have worked at a similar level on major civil infrastructure projects.
  • Understand the commonly used forms of contract and the implication to drawings produced on each project as per client requirements.
  • Shows willingness and enthusiasm, actively contributes.
  • Supports colleagues, seen as a team player
  • Verifies that work carried out is correct as per client requirement
  • Knowledge sharing to junior Technicians.
