Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, functional, and sustainable facility environments. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing third-party providers, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The technician evaluates and implements improvements to reduce operating costs while supporting seasonal maintenance activities and equipment upkeep. Strong collaboration with leadership and facility users is essential to deliver quality service, troubleshoot issues, and uphold company standards of ethics, integrity, and operational excellence.
About the team:
The Facility Services team ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems across Walmart locations. They perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance while coordinating with management and service providers to prioritize tasks effectively. Utilizing technical expertise, the team troubleshoots equipment issues and maintains accurate records and inventory. Committed to integrity, clear communication, and operational excellence, they support Walmart’s mission by creating a reliable environment that consistently delivers quality service and value to customers.
What you'll do:
- Manage and prioritize exterior facility service projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and execute budgets, approve purchases, and verify receipt of materials and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support for maintenance, repairs, and seasonal exterior activities including snow and ice management.
- Operate and maintain vehicles and heavy machinery, performing safety inspections and coordinating required maintenance.
- Lead third-party providers, conduct quality assurance inspections, and address customer concerns effectively.
- Implement facility upgrades to enhance sustainability and reduce operating costs while maintaining compliance with company policies.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience managing facility services with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to prepare and execute budgets, including cost estimation and purchase approvals.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Skilled in operating and maintaining heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service capabilities to resolve facility-related issues.
- Experience leading third-party providers and conducting quality assurance inspections.
- Ability to coordinate seasonal maintenance and implement sustainable facility upgrades.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with teams and stakeholders.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Valid, state-issued driver’s license.No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification at a minimum of a 90 day card.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
