Technician II
Job Summary
We are seeking Ground Support Equipment technician / mechanic with a minimum of (3) years of hands-on, in-depth experience in the inspection, repair, and overhaul of ground support equipment used in aviation ground operations. The ideal candidate will posses a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and overhaul ground support equipment and components such as chassis, body, drive-train components, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, fuel systems, running gear systems, and A/C supply, compression and delivery systems.
- Able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolant and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc., on ground support equipment.
- Able to safely and legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition.
- Report any safety violation, machining equipment misusage, and/or properly performed work to supervisor or lead.
- Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by federal, local, and state government, Mercury GSE, and HSE Procedures.
- Keep work area clean and free of any safety hazards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Mercury GSE reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
