Position: Technician

Location: Singapore (On-board vessels alongside at shipyards/ports, or at anchorage)
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time
Reports To: Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Technician to support our engineering team in delivering warranty service jobs on board vessels in Singapore. The successful candidate will assist with installation tasks and general technical support on vessels. This role does not involve sea voyages—all work is conducted on vessels while alongside in Singapore waters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Electrical Engineer in performing warranty service jobs on board vessels alongside at shipyards/ports or at anchorage in Singapore

  • Assist with cable pulling, cable termination, and electrical wiring work

  • Assist with installation of electrical and automation equipment on board vessels

  • Perform electrical wiring, cabling, and modification of electrical circuits

  • Assist with commissioning and testing of electrical systems

  • Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for service jobs

  • Assist in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as multimeters and insulation testers

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Prepare basic service reports and documentation

Requirements

  • NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Marine Engineering

  • Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in marine, electrical, industrial, or land-based electrical work

  • Experience with cable pulling and electrical installations (marine or land-based)

  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and testing equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and diagrams

  • Willingness to board vessels at shipyards, ports, or anchorage in Singapore

  • Physically fit and able to work on board vessels

  • Team player with good communication skills

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
