Technician Production I
Summary
Assembles HEV motors and generators in a high-volume plant, loading/unloading machines, inspecting parts, and maintaining quality standards.
This position is directly responsible for the loading and unloading of assembly stations which assemble HEV motors and /or generators while ensuring the quality and integrity of the product. The Level I Technician is competent in one station on either of the Generator or Rotor Assembly lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load/Unload production machines Inspect all parts for adherence to quality standards
- Inform appropriate parties of issues related to the quality of HEV product
- Perform any mechanical assembly required for specific station
- Maintain clean and safe work area at all times
- Proven experience serving or directly working in a Tier-One establishment
- Familiarity of the Core Tools of ISO/TS 16949:2009 (APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC)
- Experience working in high volume, high production environment
- Observe, understand and adhere to all of TIC s Environmental, Health and Safety Policies as well as TIC s Policies and Procedures
Education/Certification
- High school graduate
- Associate's degree from an accredited Technical College preferred
- On-site training classes at Toshiba Mie factory for approx. 4 months

- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
- Ability to perform necessary quality inspections
- Committment to meeting production schedules
- Commitment to EH&S and quality compliance
- 2 years of experience in fast-paced manufacturing plant using electromechanical equipment
- Must have experience using hand tools and inspection tools
Physical Requirements:
- May require long periods of standing and bending on a concrete floor
- Pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 40lbs
Work Environment:
- Personal protective equipment required on production floor
