POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining warehouse cleanliness and sanitation standards, including cleaning racks, guard rails, overhead doors, dock areas, floors, and surrounding facility areas to ensure the warehouse remains inspection-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Empty warehouse, kitchen, office, and lunchroom trash and recycling containers daily.
- Sweep warehouse aisles and maintain a clean work environment.
- Remove debris and empty warehouse trash containers as needed.
- Recycle cardboard, plastic wrap, and damaged pallets.
- Keep guard rails, racks, and warehouse storage areas dusted and clean.
- Pull pallets as needed and clean underneath rack systems.
- Operate a powered floor scrubber to maintain warehouse floors.
- Clean overhead doors and screens.
- Remove cobwebs and maintain warehouse appearance standards.
- Keep entrances, loading docks, dumpster areas, and building perimeters clean and clear of debris.
- Compact plastic materials into bales for recycling.
- Follow all company safety rules and work safely at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on warehouse equipment.
- Maintain and protect all entrusted property in excellent condition.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work safely at all times, following OSHA, DOT, and company safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not applicable for part-time high school students).
- Good judgment, common sense, and basic reading skills required.
- Previous warehouse or sanitation experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to operate electric and manual pallet jacks and forklifts after training.
- Ability to operate an electric floor scrubber.
- Knowledge of warehouse sanitation and housekeeping practices.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
- Must be in good physical condition with high stamina and dexterity.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and turn neck easily.
- Able to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Excellent peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Able to work any shift, long hours, overtime, and Saturdays as needed.
- Able to work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
